I have a lovely homemade paint stand and brush holder for my little pots of mixed paint.

I’m not sure I will manage with my little shot glasses ( purchased from Asda – 40 for £2) they are plastic, so the paint is beading, like any plastic mixing palette.

I may in the end purchasing a ceramic, deep mixing palette because I’m finding it hard to judge my paint thickness – watery, milky, creaming and thick.

But that could be just down to plain inexperience or because the paint is beading.

The stand stops the pots falling over, especially with my cats wanting to cause havoc. The foam pipe lagging holds my brushes facing downwards so no water is staying in the metal feral to deteriorate my bristles, the water can flow out better at an angle.
